Reservations to tour the Museum must be made at least 2 weeks
in advance. Self-guided tours are available Tuesday-Friday between
9:00a.m.-4:00p.m.(subject to availability).
Upon entering the Museum, tour groups will be asked to enter
the theater for a brief overview of the Museum and Museum rules.
Students touring the Museum exhibits will need to be divided
into groups of no more than 20 students per group. Each group
will rotate through the Museum separately with two chaperones
per group. Teachers/group leaders should prepare by having their class/group divided before they enter the building.
The Museum requires each group to have one chaperone per ten students.
Teachers/chaperones are expected to closely monitor their students in order
to prevent damage to the displays. Items in the exhibits may not
be touched or handled.
Teachers of elementary students are advised to provide nametags for their
students prior to arriving at the Museum.
The Museum tour will last approximately 1-2 hours (depending on the age
range of the visitors).
No gum, food, or drinks allowed in the Museum.
Group visitors must be courteous to other guests and observe all signs
throughout the Museum.
History Hunts can be found under the “Education” tab for teachers who
would like to download them and have their students take guided-notes
as they tour the Museum.
External facilities are available for groups to eat lunch. Please contact
the Museum for details.
A maximum of four buses can be parked on the Museum grounds at one time.
Wheelchairs are available at the Museum.
The Museum staff welcomes guests to take pictures while in the Museum
or on the Museum grounds. Photography on Camp Shelby is restricted and
no pictures should be taken off of the Museum grounds.
Classes/groups that anticipate being late should contact the Museum

Guests are welcome to purchase items from the Museum gift shop
prior to exiting the Museum.
